How to buy Bonk (BONK) in 2026

To buy Bonk (BONK), use a Solana app or wallet with the official BONK mint address, or an exchange such as Binance, Coinbase Exchange, Kraken or Robinhood. BONK is a dog-themed meme coin. Buy BONK with a Phantom wallet

Phantom is a self-custody wallet for Solana and other chains: you hold the seed phrase. Phantom charges 0.85% on most swaps, plus the Solana network fee (Phantom swap help (opens in a new tab)).

Check the contract address

BONK has one native address, on Solana. The official BONK site uses it in its swap links, and CoinGecko lists the same address.

The official BONK site does not print the address as plain text, so check it in your app against CoinGecko too. CoinGecko also lists bridged BONK versions on other networks, such as Ethereum and BNB Chain. The official BONK site does not show those addresses, so we do not list them here.

Copycat tokens use the same name, ticker and dog logo. Compare the first and the last characters in your app before every buy, and run a rug checker on any token you are not sure about.

How to sell Bonk (BONK)

Risks

• Treasury attack and exchange suspensions: on 6 July 2026, BonkDAO said a malicious governance proposal drained about USD 20 million of BONK from its treasury. The figure is BonkDAO's own estimate, and Upbit suspended BONK deposits and withdrawals (The Block (opens in a new tab)). Kraken temporarily suspended BONK deposits and withdrawals on 7 July 2026 (Gate News (opens in a new tab), Reuters via TradingView (opens in a new tab)). We could not confirm that the suspension ended, so check the exchange before you move BONK.
• Hijacked launchpad domain: in March 2026, hackers took over the bonk.fun domain and showed a fake terms-of-service message that could drain connected wallets (Decrypt (opens in a new tab)). The official BONK site calls bonk.fun an “independent community launchpad”, not endorsed or vetted by the BONK Foundation. Never sign a message that you do not understand.
• Fake bots and support DMs: BONKbot is a Solana trading bot, not the BONK token. Its docs warn about fake bots that ask you to deposit SOL, and say that official admins never DM first (BONKbot docs (opens in a new tab)).
• Key theft: never share your private key or seed phrase, and ignore “support” DMs that ask for them.
