Key takeaways

  • Banana Gun has the lowest verified fee per trade: 0.5% on manual trades (1% on snipes). Phantom charges 0.85%, Axiom 0.95%, pump.fun 1.25%, and most Telegram bots 1%.
  • With code START, BasedBot pays back 10–50% of its 1% fee as cashback, so you pay 0.5–0.9% per trade. Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology.
  • Axiom charges 0.95% on its entry tier, and our referral link takes 10% off, so you pay about 0.86% per trade: $8.55 on $1,000 instead of $9.50.
  • On $1,000 traded you pay $5 on Banana Gun manual trades ($10 on snipes), $5–$9 on BasedBot with our code, $8.50 on Phantom, $10 on the 1% bots and $12.50 on pump.fun.
  • The trading fee is not the whole cost: network fees, priority fees and Jito tips come on top with every tool, and slippage on a thin memecoin can cost more than all fees.
On this page

Memecoin trading bot fees run from 0.5% to 1.25% per trade on the tools with an official fee page. Banana Gun is the cheapest per trade at 0.5% on manual trades (1% on snipes), and BasedBot reaches the same 0.5% at its top cashback tier with our code (0.5–0.9% in total), while most Telegram bots charge a flat 1%. Network fees, priority fees and tips are extra with every tool.

“Check in app” means that the tool publishes no official fee page we could confirm, so we do not show a number yet. A with-code fee shows only when the tool’s own docs confirm the discount or cashback.

What you really pay per trade

The trading fee is the part the tool keeps. It is a percentage of each buy and each sell, so a round trip (buy, then sell) costs it twice. Three other costs come on top, and on small trades they can be larger than the fee:

  • Network fee: the base fee that the blockchain charges for every transaction. On Solana it is small. On Ethereum, gas can cost more than the trading fee on a small buy.
  • Priority fee and tips: a priority fee and a Jito tip (some tools call it a bribe) make validators include your trade sooner. You set them in the bot. Axiom’s defaults are 0.001 SOL each, and GMGN suggests 0.002–0.005 SOL in total for a normal Solana trade.
  • Slippage: slippage is not a fee, but it is a cost. On a thin memecoin, the price can move several percent between your click and the fill.
  • Launchpad fees and token taxes: some tokens add their own fee, for example the bonding-curve fee on pump.fun.

What this means for you: the trading fee is a percentage, but tips are a fixed amount of SOL. On small buys, the tip can be a bigger share of the cost than the fee, so check your tip settings before you shop for a cheaper bot. Bots with MEV protection also cut the risk of a sandwich attack, which can cost more than any fee.

How referral codes lower the fee

A referral code lowers your fee in one of two ways: a discount taken off the fee, or cashback paid back after the trade. Both work the same in the math:

Effective fee = trading fee × (1 − rebate %)

BasedBot and Axiom have a confirmed perk with our code and a confirmed base fee:

ToolTrading feePerk with our codeEffective fee
BasedBot1%10–50% cashback (5–25% without a code)0.5–0.9%
Axiom0.95% (entry tier)10% off trading feesabout 0.86%

Sources: BasedBot platform fees (opens in a new tab), BasedBot rewards (opens in a new tab), Axiom fees (opens in a new tab), Axiom referral program (opens in a new tab).

Worked example: you buy $1,000 of a memecoin on BasedBot. The 1% fee is $10. With code START, $1–$5 comes back as cashback, depending on your tier, so you pay $5–$9. On Axiom, the $9.50 entry-tier fee falls by 10% to $8.55. Axiom’s higher volume tiers charge less, down to 0.75%. Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology.

The codes are on the BasedBot referral code page and the Axiom referral code page. Fomo confirms a 10% discount on trading fees with our code, but it publishes no base fee that we could confirm, so its with-code fee shows “Check in app” (see the Fomo referral code page). Other tools with a code program publish no perk for the new user that we can confirm, so their with-code fee also shows “Check in app”.

Which chains each tool supports

A low fee helps only if the tool trades on your chain, so this matrix shows the chains each tool lists in its own docs.

Some tools also pay cashback by volume or rank, without a code. The Trojan review and the Maestro review list those tiers. The table leaves them out because they depend on how much you trade. To see your own monthly cost at your trade size, use the memecoin fee calculator.

How we check fees

We take every fee from the tool’s official fee page or docs, and we list each page in the sources at the end of this page. The table shows the date of each check. A fee shows as a number only when an official source confirms it. Reported numbers from news articles or third-party sites stay out, and the table shows “Check in app” instead.

When a tool announces a fee change, we check the official page again and update the table, the date and the fee calculator. Fees and cashback tiers change often, so read the fee on the confirm screen before your first trade. Our full process is on the review methodology page, and the best Telegram trading bots ranking uses the same data.
