Our Banana Gun review in short: Banana Gun is a multi-chain Telegram trading bot family with a web terminal, Banana Pro, and fees of 0.5% on manual trades and 1% on snipes. It is mostly safe today, but in September 2024 an exploit drained about $3 million from 11 users. We rate it 3.7/5 from research, not a hands-on test.
Banana Gun in one paragraph
Banana Gun started as an EVM Telegram sniping bot. Its docs now list three tools: Banana Pro (a web app), Banana Gun SOL (the Solana Telegram bot) and Banana Gun EVM (the original EVM bot). The docs describe "instant spot buys and sells, auto-sniping, limit orders, copy trading", plus protection against rug pulls and MEV. The official website lists ETH, SOL, BSC, Base, Robinhood, Stable, HyperEVM and MegaETH. It also shows Banana Predict for prediction markets.
Fees
Banana Gun takes a fee on each successful transaction. There is no subscription. Source: bananagun.io.
| Trade type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Manual trade (buy or sell) | 0.5% |
| Snipe | 1% |
| Subscription | None |
- By chain: the official site gives no breakdown by chain. Check the fee in the bot on your chain before your first trade.
- Network costs: gas, priority fees and bribes are extra.
- Holder rewards: the rewards page says holders of at least 50 $BANANA share bot revenue ("40% after referrals"). You can claim in ETH or $BANANA on EVM chains, and in SOL on Solana.

Safety and incidents
- Custody: Banana Gun's terms of service say users trade "through their own controlled Wallets" and are solely responsible for their private key. The terms also say Banana Gun cannot refund losses from lost private keys.
- September 2024 exploit: on 19 September 2024, users reported unauthorized transfers from their bot wallets. Banana Gun switched off its EVM and Solana bots. The post-mortem put the loss at about $3 million from 11 users and pointed to a possible vulnerability in a Telegram message oracle. On 24 September, Banana Gun said it would fully refund all affected users from its treasury, without selling tokens. Sources: The Block, Cointelegraph.
- Bots back online: the bots returned after a patch, and The Block reported no further attacks.
- Security changes after the exploit: a two-hour transfer delay, two-factor authentication for transfers and audits of back-end and front-end systems, according to The Block.
- September 2023 token launch bug: the $BANANA token launched on 11 September 2023 and collapsed because of a bug in its 4% fee logic: the fee did not go to the treasury as intended. The team sold the treasury tokens to drain the locked liquidity pool, said it would relaunch the token and said an airdrop would make holders whole. Source: The Block. This was a token contract bug, not a loss of bot wallet funds.
- Refund status: we found reports of the refund pledge, but no independent report that confirms when all payments were complete.
What this means for you: the 2024 exploit took money directly from bot wallets. Banana Gun paid for the fix and added transfer protections, but treat any Telegram bot wallet as a hot wallet.
Features (from the docs)
- Sniping: auto-sniping of new launches on Ethereum, Solana and other chains. The supported DEXes page lists Solana snipes on Raydium, Meteora and PumpSwap.
- Trading: instant buys and sells, limit orders and DCA orders.
- Copy trading: follow other wallets, as the website describes. See copy trading.
- Protection: rug pull and MEV protection, according to the docs. Read our guide to rug pulls.
- DEX coverage: on Solana, the docs list Raydium, Pump.fun, PumpSwap, Orca, Meteora and more. On BNB Chain, PancakeSwap and Four.meme. On Base, Uniswap, Aerodrome and others. See our Pump.fun guide.
- Banana Pro: a web terminal at pro.bananagun.io with trending tokens, new pairs and a bridge.
- $BANANA: holders of 50+ tokens get a share of bot revenue. You can also burn $BANANA for in-bot credits, for example for extra wallets.
Where other tools are better
- Solana-only trading in one bot: if you only trade on Solana, a Solana-first bot like Trojan keeps everything in one bot. See the Trojan review.
- Web terminal for Solana discovery: Axiom has a deeper Solana discovery toolset with Pulse and wallet tracking. See the Axiom review and GMGN review.
- No bot wallet drain on record: we found no public report of an exploit that drained user funds at Trojan or Axiom. Axiom has a separate 2026 insider-trading allegation. If the 2024 exploit worries you, compare them first.
- Multi-chain with a single bot: Banana Gun splits EVM trading across separate registration, sniper and sell bots. BasedBot covers Solana, Base and other chains from one bot. Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology. See the BasedBot review.
