Research review: based on official docs and public data. Our hands-on test is pending, and this page will be updated after it.

Key takeaways

  • Maestro charges a 1% fee on every successful buy and sell; simple transfers are free. Cashback returns 15% to 30% of that fee by volume tier.
  • Maestro supports twelve chains: Solana, BSC, Base, Ethereum, Monad, Sonic, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Hyper EVM, Robinhood, Tron and TON.
  • Maestro Premium costs $200 a month and adds the faster Maestro Pro Bot, 30 trade monitors instead of 10 and 12 copytrade wallets per chain.
  • On 24 October 2023, attackers drained about 280 ETH (about $485,000) through the Maestro router; Maestro refunded affected users from its own revenue.
  • Maestro's referral program pays referrers up to 25% of fees for life; we have no deal with Maestro and earn nothing from it.

Our verdict

Is it safe? Mostly, with caveats. Maestro says it paid back every affected user after its October 2023 router exploit, but the bot keeps your wallet keys encrypted on its own servers, so treat it as a hot wallet for trading money only.

Best for: Multi-chain traders who want one Telegram sniper bot for Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Tron, TON and newer EVM chains

What we like

  • Twelve chains in one bot, from Solana and Ethereum to Tron, TON, Monad and Robinhood Chain
  • Auto snipe, copytrade, signals, limit orders and a cross-chain bridge in one place
  • Cashback returns 15% to 30% of the 1% fee, by volume tier
  • Anti-MEV is always on for Ethereum and optional on Solana (Jito, Temporal or NextBlock)
  • After the 2023 router exploit, Maestro refunded affected users from its own revenue

What we don't like

  • Premium costs $200 a month on top of the 1% trading fee
  • The bot stores your private keys (AES-encrypted) on its servers; it is not a hardware-grade setup
  • On EVM chains, unpaid fees accumulate and the bot takes them later from your largest wallet
  • No referral discount for new users in the docs, and we earn nothing from this tool

Our Maestro bot review in short: Maestro is a multi-chain Telegram trading bot and sniper bot for twelve chains, with a 1% fee per trade and 15% to 30% cashback. It is mostly safe: an October 2023 router exploit drained about $485,000, and Maestro refunded the affected users. We rate it 3.7/5 from research, not a hands-on test.

Maestro in one paragraph

Maestro is a Telegram bot for buying and selling new tokens. Its manual covers manual trades from a pasted contract address, auto snipe, copytrade, signals from call channels, limit orders and a bridge. The supported chains page lists twelve chains: Solana, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Ethereum, Monad, Sonic, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Hyper EVM, Robinhood, Tron and TON. On Solana it trades on Raydium, Orca, Meteora, FluxBeam, Pump.fun and Moonshot. The team also runs separate bots for wallet tracking, whale alerts and buy alerts, linked from maestrobots.com.

Fees

Maestro charges a flat 1% on every successful buy and sell, manual or automatic. Simple transfers are not charged. Source: Maestro monetization.

How the fee is taken: on Solana, the bot takes the fee in the same transaction. On the other chains, the bot records what you owe and takes it later, when the unpaid amount passes a chain minimum (for example 0.5 TON, 1 MON or 10 TRX). It takes the fee from your wallet with the highest balance on that chain. If you see transfers to Maestro's fee addresses, that is the fee, as the fees FAQ explains.

Cashback: Maestro returns part of the 1% fee by volume tier. You claim it per chain from the /cashback menu. Source: Maestro cashback.

The docs do not give the volume needed for each tier. Check in app. To see what 1% costs on your own trade sizes, use our fee calculator.

Premium plan

Maestro Premium costs $200 a month, paid inside the bot from the /premium menu. It adds:

  • Access to the Maestro Pro Bot, which the docs describe as faster than the base bot
  • A launch simulator that finds taxes, deadblocks and max wallet before a contract launches
  • A trending list and a "Hits" indicator (how many users pasted the same contract)
  • 30 trades in the Trade Monitor instead of 10, and 96-hour monitors instead of 36
  • 10 wallets per chain instead of 8, and 12 copytrade wallets per chain instead of 5
  • 10 auto-snipes per chain instead of 5, and up to 120 limit orders instead of 60

Safety and incidents

  • Wallets: you can generate a wallet inside the bot or import one. The wallet setup guide recommends a new wallet, not your main one. For a generated wallet, the guide tells you to import the private key into MetaMask or another wallet, so you can reach your funds outside the bot.
  • Key storage: the security FAQ says all private keys are AES-encrypted. This means the bot holds your keys on its servers to sign trades. This is not full self-custody.
  • Anti-MEV: on Ethereum, anti-MEV is always on and sends trades through a private relay. On Solana it is optional and uses Jito, Temporal or NextBlock, according to the general settings page. This helps against sandwich attacks.
  • Auto-buy checks: the bot blocks auto-buys when it detects a honeypot, blacklist risk or unhealthy liquidity, unless you turn on "Degen Mode".
  • October 2023 router exploit: on 24 October 2023, attackers compromised the MaestroRouter contract on Ethereum and drained about 280 ETH, worth about $485,000. CertiK counted 106 affected addresses. Maestro said it stopped the attack within 30 minutes and that user wallets were not compromised. It bought back nine of the 11 drained tokens for users and paid ETH plus a 20% bonus for the other two, from its own revenue. Maestro says every affected wallet got back the full amount; CertiK confirmed the ETH payouts. Source: Cointelegraph.
  • Later hacks: we found no public report of a later hack or exploit at Maestro.

What this means for you: Maestro paid users back after its one known exploit, but a Telegram bot that holds your keys is a hot wallet. Use a fresh wallet for it.

Features (from the docs)

  • Auto Snipe: buys a token at launch on Ethereum, BSC, Base and Solana. See auto snipe and our guide to sniping.
  • Copytrade: copies the buys and sells of wallets you track, on every EVM chain and on Solana. See copytrade and copy trading.
  • Signals: auto-buys tokens called by the signal channels you choose.
  • Pasted contracts: paste a contract to get a token report with warnings, then buy, sell or set limit orders.
  • Trade Monitor and Positions: track profit and loss per token and per wallet.
  • Bridge: swap or bridge across chains inside the bot. The default route uses Relay, with deBridge and a private Houdini Swap route as options. See bridge.
  • Multi-wallet: up to 8 wallets per chain (10 with Premium).
  • Maestro Scraper: a desktop app, listed on maestrobots.com, that reads your Telegram channels and forwards contract addresses to the bot.

Where other tools are better

  • Lower net fee in a multi-chain bot: BasedBot also covers many chains in Telegram, with up to 50% cashback through its referral link and private key export. See the BasedBot review. Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology.
  • Solana only: if you trade only on Solana, Trojan gives a Telegram bot and a web terminal, and its docs say the wallets are non-custodial.
  • A web terminal instead of Telegram: Axiom and GMGN give charts and discovery tools in the browser.
  • Compare all options: see the best sniper bots and the best Telegram trading bots.

Frequently asked questions

Maestro says it AES-encrypts all private keys, and you can generate a fresh wallet in the bot and write its private key on paper. In October 2023 a router exploit drained about 280 ETH from 106 user addresses, and Maestro says it refunded them in full from its own revenue. Keep only trading money in any bot wallet and turn on Telegram two-factor authentication.
