Research review: based on official docs and public data. Our hands-on test is pending, and this page will be updated after it.
Our verdict
Is it safe? Use it with care. GMGN works, but its docs say you cannot export the private key of a GMGN wallet, and a BNB Chain MEV incident hit 729 trades in October 2025 (users were reimbursed).
Best for: Active memecoin traders who want charts, wallet tracking and Telegram bots from one platform

- Web terminal plus official Telegram bots on each chain
- Deep toolset: copy trading, auto buy and sell, trailing stops, sniping, wallet tracking

What we don't like
- No private key export: the docs say export is prohibited on all chains
- 1% fee per trade, and the docs publish no discount for new users

- Scam tokens reached the trending list in the past, so check every token yourself
GMGN in one paragraph
GMGN is a memecoin trading and analytics platform. According to IQ.wiki, it was founded in June 2023, with Haze and Jerry Ma as co-founders. You trade on the web terminal at gmgn.ai or through official Telegram bots. The official bot list has bots for Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron. Its strengths are data and automation: wallet tracking, copy trading, auto buy and sell, and token security checks.
Fees
| Without our link | With our link | |
|---|---|---|
| GMGN fee per trade | 1% | 1% |
| Discount for new users | Not published | Check in app |
| Gas, priority and tip fees | Extra, paid to the network | Extra, paid to the network |
The GMGN fees page says GMGN charges a 1% fee per trade. It says GMGN does not collect the priority and tip fees. On Solana, it suggests a total of about 0.002–0.005 SOL for normal trades, and Anti-MEV mode needs a priority fee of at least 0.002 SOL. Launch platforms add their own fee, for example 1% on Pump.fun tokens.
The referral docs describe a rebate for the person who invites, but they do not publish a discount for the person who signs up. We do not state a number until we can confirm it.
Safety and incidents
- Custody: GMGN creates Solana and EVM wallets for you on first use of a bot. The wallet docs say private key export is prohibited on all chains, also for wallets you import. The multi-wallet page calls the account made through a Phantom login an "escrow account".
- Withdrawals: you withdraw on the website, not in the bot. You need Google Authenticator 2FA and a whitelist address. A change to the whitelist starts a 3-hour wait.
- October 2025, BNB Chain MEV incident: GMGN said its BNB Chain anti-sandwich nodes faced multiple sandwich attacks on 25 October 2025. According to Cryptopolitan via cryptonews.net, 729 trades were hit, and co-founder Haze said the users were reimbursed on 26 October.
- 2025, Solana sandwich attacks: according to IQ.wiki, which cites AI Invest data, GMGN had about 30.8% of more than 260,000 Solana sandwich attacks in a 30-day period in April 2025. In July 2025, GMGN announced MEV protection and compensation for users who were sandwiched with the protection on.
- November 2024 outages: according to IQ.wiki, a volume surge and crawler attacks took the servers down six times in four days in November 2024.
- September 2024, scam tokens on the trending list: a security researcher reported tokens on GMGN's trending list that let the developer take holders' tokens, according to Cointelegraph via TradingView.
- Phishing: the GMGN safety tips warn about fake admins, fake groups and an NFT airdrop scam that drained wallets. GMGN says admins never message you first.
Features (from the docs)
- Web terminal: token pages with multi-charts, trending and new pair lists, and wallet detail pages.
- Telegram bots: separate official bots per chain, plus alert bots and a support bot.
- Automation: auto buy and limit buy, auto sell with take-profit and stop-loss, trailing take profit and trailing stop loss.
- Copy trading and tracking: copy smart money wallets, wallet radar, X tracker and wallet alerts on Telegram.
- Sniping: a Solana sniper bot and auto trading for migrated tokens and dev sells.
- Token checks: a contract security check, plus insider, sniper and first 70 buyer data.
- API: Solana and ETH, Base and BNB Chain trading APIs for partners.
All of this comes from the GMGN docs. We did not test these features yet.
Where other tools are better
- Key control: if you want to export your bot wallet key, pick a tool that allows it. BasedBot lets you export the key or import your own wallet.
- More EVM chains in one bot: GMGN lists Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron. BasedBot also covers chains like Arbitrum and Avalanche.
- Simple start: GMGN has many screens and bots. A beginner may find a single Telegram bot easier.
GMGN is strong if you want data, wallet tracking and automation in one place.
