|---|---|---|
| Fee per trade | 0.95% to 0.75% (volume tiers) | 1% |

| Our score | 4.0 | 3.5 |
- Axiom wins on fees, the referral perk and wallet control.
- GMGN wins on chain coverage, Telegram bots and automation.
Fees
Axiom uses volume tiers. According to the Axiom fee page, the net fee is 0.95% at the entry tier (Wood) and 0.75% at the top tier (Champion), with cashback that rises with your tier (0.05% to 0.25%). The Axiom Solana fees page adds a priority fee and an optional bribe per transaction.
- Referral perk: the Axiom referral page says users who sign up with a referral link get a 10% discount on trading fees.
GMGN charges one flat fee. The GMGN fees page says GMGN charges a 1% fee per trade. Gas, priority and tip fees are extra and go to the network.
- Referral perk: the GMGN referral docs describe a rebate for the person who invites. They do not publish a discount for the person who signs up. We do not state a number we cannot confirm.
Fee example: 50 trades of 1 SOL
This is simple math on the published fees. It does not include network fees or cashback.
| Item | Fee rate | Fee on 50 SOL of volume |
|---|---|---|
| GMGN | 1% | 0.5 SOL |
| Axiom, Wood tier | 0.95% | 0.475 SOL |
| Axiom, Wood tier with 10% off | about 0.855% | about 0.43 SOL |
The last row assumes the 10% discount applies to the full Wood fee. Check the exact fee in the Axiom app after you sign up.
Chains
- Axiom: the referral docs list Solana, BSC (BNB Chain) and Ethereum. You can also trade perps on Hyperliquid from the Perpetuals tab.
- GMGN: the official bot list has bots for Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron.
If you trade Base or Tron memecoins, GMGN covers them and Axiom does not. If you trade only Solana, both work.
Safety and incidents
Wallet control
- Axiom: the Axiom FAQ says it uses non-custodial infrastructure from Turnkey. The sign-up guide shows your seed phrase during onboarding, and you can view it later in Settings. You can import it into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare.
- GMGN: the GMGN wallet docs say private key export is prohibited on all chains, also for wallets you import. You withdraw on the website. You need Google Authenticator 2FA and a whitelist address, and a new or changed whitelist starts a 3-hour wait.
This is the biggest difference between the two. On Axiom, you can move your wallet to another app. On GMGN, your only way out is a withdrawal.
Incidents
- Axiom, February 2026: on 26 February 2026, investigator ZachXBT alleged that Axiom employees took part in insider trading. He named a senior business development employee who, he said, used internal support tools to look up user wallets. Axiom said it was disappointed, removed access to those tools and said it would continue to investigate. Sources: Decrypt, The Block. We found no public report of the result of Axiom's investigation. We found no report of a hack that drained user funds.
- GMGN, October 2025: sandwich attacks hit GMGN's BNB Chain anti-sandwich nodes on 25 October 2025. According to Cryptopolitan via cryptonews.net, 729 trades were hit, and co-founder Haze said users were reimbursed on 26 October.
- GMGN, earlier issues: IQ.wiki reports server outages in November 2024 and about 30.8% of more than 260,000 Solana sandwich attacks in a 30-day period around April 2025. In September 2024, a researcher reported scam tokens on the GMGN trending list (Cointelegraph via TradingView).
What this means for you: Axiom's issue is about privacy (who can see your wallets). GMGN's issues are about trade execution and token quality. On both, keep only trading money in the terminal and check every token yourself. Read our rug pull guide.

Pick GMGN if:
