Research review: based on official docs and public data. Our hands-on test is pending, and this page will be updated after it.

Our verdict

Is it safe? Probably, with normal care. Trojan says it is non-custodial, you can export your private keys, and we found no public report of a hack of Trojan itself.

Best for: Solana memecoin traders who want a web terminal and a Telegram bot from the same team

What we like

  • Two ways to trade: the web terminal at trojan.com and the Telegram bot
  • Cashback in SOL on every trade, which lowers the 1% fee
  • Non-custodial per the docs, with private key export and wallet import
  • Wide toolset: limit orders, DCA, copy trading, sniper, wallet tracker, perps via Hyperliquid

What we don't like

  • Solana only for spot trading
  • The 1% base fee is the market standard, not cheap, before cashback
  • The team is pseudonymous and the docs do not name a company
  • The referee discount for new users is not published in the official docs

Trojan in one paragraph

Trojan is a Solana trading platform with two products: a web terminal at trojan.com and a Telegram bot. The docs say the terminal comes from the creators of the Trojan Telegram bot. Trojan started as Unibot on Solana. In March 2024 that team split from the Unibot Ethereum developers and announced a rebrand, according to DL News. A post on the Trojan Paragraph blog confirms that Trojan is the rebranded Unibot on Solana. The team is pseudonymous.

Sources: the terminal FAQ states the 1% fee, the Ranks and Rewards page lists cashback by rank, and the Telegram bot FAQ states 1% with 20% cashback.

Other costs are extra: Solana network fees, the priority fee you choose, and the tip for MEV protection. The docs also note a refundable token account fee of about 0.002 SOL on each new token, and extra launchpad fees or token taxes on some tokens.

Safety and incidents

  • Custody: the terminal FAQ says Trojan is non-custodial and does not store or control your funds or private keys.
  • Key export: you can export the private key of any Trojan wallet, on the terminal and in the Telegram bot. You can also import your own wallet.
  • Extra protection in the bot: a Secure Action Password for sensitive actions, and Sell Protection that asks before you sell more than 75% of a position.
  • Incidents: we found no public report of a hack, exploit or loss of user funds at Trojan itself. The Unibot router exploit of October 2023 hit the Ethereum product, before the split, not the Solana bot.
  • Team: the team is pseudonymous. The docs do not name a company or a legal entity.
  • Phishing: fake copies of Telegram bots are common. Use only the official links.

Features (from the docs)

  • Order types: market, limit (take profit and stop loss), DCA, instant trade, clipboard buy, quick buy and auto-sell. See Swaps.
  • Copy trading and a sniper for new launches.
  • Token discovery: Trenches for new launches, Explorer with DEX filters, a watchlist and an X tracker.
  • Wallet tools: up to 10 active wallets, wallet groups, consolidate and distribute, a wallet analyzer and a wallet tracker.
  • Alpha: brings calls from your Telegram and Discord groups into the terminal.
  • Perpetuals: a perps page powered by Hyperliquid.
  • Login: Solana wallet, passkey or Google. Mobile works through the web app; the docs describe no native app.
  • Funding: buy SOL with MoonPay inside the terminal.
  • Arena: ranks, Gold points, quests, leaderboards and a jackpot funded by 10% of Trojan's daily fees.

Where other tools are better

  • More than one chain: Trojan is Solana only for spot trades. If you also trade on Base, BNB Chain or Ethereum, a multi-chain bot like BasedBot covers them in one place.
  • Named team: if a public company behind the tool matters to you, Trojan's pseudonymous team is a weak point.
  • Simple fees: the cashback depends on your rank and on quests, so your real fee takes some work to calculate.
