Fees

BasedBot charges 1% per trade. Cashback returns 5–25% of your fees, or 10–50% with code START. The terms come from our partner agreement and our hands-on test. See the BasedBot referral code page.

Trojan charges 1% per trade. The Telegram bot FAQ says all users get 20% cashback on every trade, and fees apply only to successful transactions. On the web terminal, the Ranks and Rewards page lists cashback by Arena rank: Degen 10%, Warrior 15%, Gladiator 20%, Commander 25% and Titan 35%, and up to 45% with quests. The docs publish no discount for new users who sign up with a referral link. See the Trojan referral code page.

Trojan Telegram bot (20%)0.8%0.4 SOL
Trojan web, Titan rank (35%)0.65%0.325 SOL
BasedBot with START, top tier (50%)0.5%0.25 SOL

This is simple math on the published rates. It does not include network fees, priority fees or tips, which are extra on both. Run your own numbers in our fee calculator.

At the entry level, the two cost the same. BasedBot's top cashback tier (50%) is higher than Trojan's top rank (35%, or up to 45% with quests).

Chains

  • BasedBot: Base, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Robinhood Chain, Arc and more, all in one bot.
  • Trojan: Solana only for spot trading. The terminal FAQ refers only to Solana wallets and SOL fees. The web terminal adds perps through Hyperliquid.

If you trade only Solana, both bots work. If you also trade Base or BNB Chain memecoins, Trojan does not cover them.

Sniping in detail

  • BasedBot: in our tests, auto-buys on new launches worked as expected and buys confirmed in under one second on average. BasedBot supports pump.fun launches, so you can snipe new pump.fun coins from the bot. You can also snipe on Base, BNB Chain and the other chains.
  • Trojan: the Sniper docs describe an Auto Sniper with filters for platform, mint and freeze authority, socials, whitelists and blacklists (also for dev wallets), liquidity, pool supply and dev holdings. A Max Snipes setting pauses the setup after a set number of snipes. The Migration Sniper buys or sells when a token moves from the bonding curve to the pool. The docs suggest a 20/80 split between priority fee and tip, for example 0.02 SOL plus 0.08 SOL on a 0.1 SOL total.

For Solana-only snipers, Trojan documents its sniper filters in more detail than BasedBot. For more options, see our list of the best sniper bots.

Safety and incidents

  • Custody: both are self-custody. BasedBot lets you export the bot wallet's private key or import your own wallet. Trojan's terminal FAQ says the terminal does not store or control your funds or private keys, and you can export the key of any Trojan wallet.
  • Incidents: we found no hack, exploit or loss of user funds at either bot. The Unibot router exploit of October 2023 hit the Ethereum product before the split, not Trojan on Solana.
  • Track record: Trojan has the longer history. It started as Unibot on Solana and rebranded after a March 2024 split from the Unibot Ethereum team, according to DL News. BasedBot launched in 2025. A shorter history is not a red flag, but it is less proof.
  • Docs: Trojan publishes detailed docs for both the web terminal and the Telegram bot. BasedBot's terms on this page come from our test and partner agreement.
  • Team: Trojan's team is pseudonymous, and its docs do not name a company.

The bot is only one part of the risk. Most losses come from the tokens. Read our rug pull guide and is pump.fun safe? before you snipe.

  • You want detailed sniper filters and a Migration Sniper, all documented.
