• Abstract shutdown: Igloo, the company behind Pudgy Penguins, will shut down the Abstract chain on 15 December 2026. PENGU left on Abstract after that date becomes unreachable; PENGU on Solana is not affected (CryptoTicker (opens in a new tab)). Do not buy PENGU on Abstract. If you hold some there, open the migration tools only from Abstract's official channels, because fake migration pages exist.
• Large transfers to exchanges: in July 2025, CryptoSlate reported on-chain analyst claims that over 2 billion PENGU moved to exchanges in one month. CryptoSlate did not verify the figure, the wallet owners or any sales.
• Key theft: never share your private key or seed phrase, and ignore “support” DMs that ask for them.
