Key takeaways
- Pump.fun fees have two parts: the pool fee (1.25% on the bonding curve, 1.25% down to 0.30% on PumpSwap) and, in the web and mobile app, a 0.45% Platform Fee, or 0.40% with a referral code.
- A $100 buy on the bonding curve in the pump.fun app costs $1.70 in fees without a code and $1.65 with code lockein. A $1,000 buy costs $17.00 or $16.50 (pump.fun Fees page, 17 Oct 2026).
- Of the 1.25% bonding-curve fee, 0.30% goes to the coin’s creator and 0.95% to the protocol. Creators can send their fee to charity or to holders with at least $20 of the coin (Holder Rewards).
- Creating a coin on pump.fun has no platform fee, only Solana network costs; the first buy pays the Platform Fee, and graduation to PumpSwap costs 0.015 SOL.
- The Platform Fee applies only in the pump.fun web app and mobile app, not on Terminal, third-party bots or perps.
On this page
Pump.fun fees have two layers. Every trade pays a pool fee: 1.25% on the bonding curve, and 1.25% down to 0.30% on PumpSwap after a coin graduates. Trades in the pump.fun web app or mobile app add a 0.45% Platform Fee, or 0.40% with a referral code, so a $100 buy on the curve costs $1.70, or $1.65 with code lockein. Our pump.fun app review covers the rest of the app.
Every number on this page comes from the official pump.fun Fees page (opens in a new tab), last updated on 17 October 2026 and checked by us on 24 October 2026. Pump.fun changes its fees often, so check that page before a large trade.

The pump.fun Platform Fee (from 17 October 2026)
The Platform Fee is a fee for trading through pump.fun’s own web app or mobile app. Since 17 October 2026, it is 0.45% of every trade, or 0.40% if your wallet uses another user’s referral code. It comes on top of the pool fee, and the app shows it as its own line before you confirm.
- Where it applies: every buy and sell in the pump.fun web app and mobile app. That includes the first buy when you create a coin, and limit or take-profit orders, which pay the rate that was valid when you placed them.
- Where it does not apply: pump.fun’s Terminal (formerly Padre), third-party interfaces such as Telegram bots, and perps.
- How you pay it: in SOL or USDC, in the same transaction as the trade.
- Who sets it: pump.fun can reduce or waive it for some wallets, programs or periods (Fees page (opens in a new tab)).
A referral code changes only this fee: 0.40% instead of 0.45%, about 11% less Platform Fee. You can apply a code whether or not you used pump.fun before, but only one code per wallet (terms, §4.9 (opens in a new tab)). Some press reports said app trades on Solana have no fee. The official Fees page shows the Platform Fee on every app trade, so we use the Fees page.
Bonding-curve fee: 1.25% on new coins
Every new pump.fun coin starts on a bonding curve, and every buy and sell on it pays 1.25%. Of that, 0.95% goes to the pump.fun protocol and 0.30% goes to the coin’s creator. The LP share is 0%. The fee is the same for coins paired with SOL and with USDC.
Coins paired with other assets (Custom Pairs, such as tokenized stocks) also pay a flat 1.25% on the curve. When a coin fills its curve, it graduates to PumpSwap, pump.fun’s own exchange. Our PumpSwap guide explains how a graduation works.
PumpSwap fees after a coin graduates
On PumpSwap, the fee depends on the coin’s market cap: the bigger the coin, the lower the fee. Pump.fun calculates the market cap as the price times 1 billion tokens. These tiers apply to canonical pools, the pool a coin gets when it graduates.
| Market cap of a SOL coin | Total fee | Creator | Protocol | LP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0–420 SOL | 1.25% | 0.30% | 0.93% | 0.02% |
| 420–1,470 SOL | 1.20% | 0.95% | Check the Fees page | Check the Fees page |
| 4,420–9,820 SOL | 1.00% | Check the Fees page | Check the Fees page | Check the Fees page |
| 98,240 SOL and up | 0.30% | 0.05% | 0.05% | 0.20% |
Sources: pump.fun Fees page (opens in a new tab), checked 2026-10-24. Between these rows, the fee falls in steps of 0.05% per tier; the Fees page lists every tier.
- USDC coins: 1.25% from 0 to 59,000 USDC of market cap, 1.20% from 59,000 to 300,000 USDC, then lower step by step to 0.30% at 20 million USDC and up.
- Non-canonical pools: a flat 0.30% (0% creator, 0.05% protocol, 0.25% LP).
- Custom Pair coins: a flat 0.30% on PumpSwap.
- Routes through two pools: in the pump.fun web app, mobile app and Terminal, the protocol fee is charged once, on the first pool, and the creator and LP fees once, on the last pool. Other interfaces may charge them on every pool.
The app Platform Fee comes on top of these PumpSwap fees, the same as on the curve.
Worked examples: $100 and $1,000 trades
These examples show one buy in the pump.fun app. A sell costs the same percentage again. Network fees, the price impact of your order and slippage are not included.
| Trade | Pool fee | Platform Fee without code (0.45%) | Platform Fee with lockein (0.40%) | Total without code | Total with code |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 on the bonding curve | $1.25 | $0.45 | $0.40 | $1.70 | $1.65 |
| $1,000 on the bonding curve | $12.50 | $4.50 | $4.00 | $17.00 | $16.50 |
| $100 on PumpSwap, 98,240 SOL and up | $0.30 | $0.45 | $0.40 | $0.75 | $0.70 |
| $1,000 on PumpSwap, 98,240 SOL and up | $3.00 | $4.50 | $4.00 | $7.50 | $7.00 |

A round trip on the curve, one buy and one sell of $100, costs about $3.40 without a code and $3.30 with one. On a large graduated coin, the app fee is bigger than the pool fee, so the code saves a larger share of your costs there.

With code lockein, you pay a 0.40% app (Platform) fee instead of 0.45%. New app users can also get up to $50 matched on their first card deposit if they type the code in the app before that deposit and trade on 5 days within 10 days, while the budget lasts (not in the UK). The Referral Rewards terms (opens in a new tab) have the full rules, and our pump.fun referral code page shows where to type it.

Pump.fun creator fees and creator rewards
Creator fees are the share of each trade that goes to the person who launched the coin. They apply to every coin on the bonding curve and on PumpSwap since 13 May 2025 (Fees page (opens in a new tab)). On the curve, the creator gets 0.30% of every trade. On PumpSwap, the creator share follows the market-cap tiers above: 0.95% from 420 to 1,470 SOL, and 0.05% at 98,240 SOL and up.
So a creator earns only when people trade the coin. Most pump.fun coins never graduate, so most creators earn little; our page is pump.fun legit and safe? has the data. If you want to launch a coin, our guide on how to create a meme coin covers the steps and costs.
Holder Rewards coins
A creator can choose to send the creator fee to holders instead. On a Holder Rewards coin, every holder with at least $20 of the coin gets a share in proportion to the holding. Pump.fun first takes the distribution cost: up to $0.01 per holder for SOL coins and up to $0.20 for token-paired coins. On Custom Pair coins, the Holder Rewards rate can be from 0.01% up to 3%.
These rewards are not guaranteed. Pump.fun can pause or change them (terms, §4.8 (opens in a new tab)).
Charity coins and cashback coins
- Charity coins: the creator sends the creator fee to a charity.
- Cashback coins: new launches can no longer use this option. Existing cashback coins still pay cashback, which you claim in the app.

The network fee is a fixed amount, not a percentage. On a very small trade, it can be a large part of your cost. Our pump.fun withdraw guide shows how to move funds out with enough SOL left for the fee.
How to pay less in pump.fun fees
- Use a referral code: a code such as lockein cuts the app Platform Fee from 0.45% to 0.40% on every trade. One code per wallet.
- Trade fewer, larger orders: the percentage fees stay the same, but the fixed network fee becomes a smaller part of each trade.
- Know the pool fee before you buy: a large graduated coin pays 0.30% on PumpSwap, while a coin on the curve pays 1.25%.
- Watch slippage on small coins: on a thin curve, price impact can cost more than all the fees. Set a slippage limit you accept.
- Pick the right tool for your style: the app has the Platform Fee; Terminal and bots do not, but they charge their own fees. Compare them in our memecoin fees comparison.
For most traders, the app’s fee is a fair price for the easiest and most social way to trade pump.fun coins. Our pump.fun tutorial shows how to buy, sell and deposit in it.
If you trade every day on desktop or Telegram and want speed, automation and many chains, BasedBot is our Best for pros pick (BasedBot review). Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology.

Mistakes to avoid
- Do not count only the 1.25% curve fee. In the app, the Platform Fee comes on top, so a curve trade costs 1.70%, or 1.65% with a code.
- Do not believe “0% fees” claims. The official Fees page shows a Platform Fee on every app trade.
- Do not forget the sell. You pay the fees again when you sell, so a round trip costs about twice the table rate.
- Do not spend your last SOL. Keep some SOL for network fees, or a sell or a withdrawal can fail.
- Do not share your key with “support” in a DM. Pump.fun never asks for your private key outside its Link email & socials dialog.
Bottom line
A pump.fun trade in the app costs the pool fee plus a 0.45% Platform Fee: 1.70% on the bonding curve, or 1.65% with code lockein. Large graduated coins cost much less, down to 0.70% with a code. Read our pump.fun guide for how the launchpad works, then start with the app if you want the most fun way to trade memecoins.
