Key takeaways
- New memecoins appear first on launchpads: pump.fun on Solana, four.meme on BNB Chain, and Clanker, Zora or Flaunch on Base. Trending lists on GMGN and DEX Screener show them minutes to hours later.
- Most new memecoins fail early: The Block reported a pump.fun graduation rate of 2.5% for one week in July 2026, so fewer than 1 in 20 coins left the bonding curve.
- Filter every new coin with 5 checks before you buy: the contract address, liquidity, the top holders, the dev wallet and a honeypot or sell test.
- BasedBot trades new coins on 16 networks from one Telegram bot, with a 1% fee and 10–50% cashback through code START, for an effective fee of 0.5–0.9%.
- Find new coins with discovery tools, but buy only after the checks. Scam tokens reached GMGN's trending list in 2024, so a trending rank is not a safety check.
On this page
New memecoins appear first on launchpads such as pump.fun, four.meme and Clanker, and then on the new-pair and trending lists of GMGN, DEX Screener and the trading bots. To buy new memecoins early and safely, find a candidate there, run five checks (contract address, liquidity, holders, dev wallet, honeypot test), then buy a small amount with a fast bot. We use BasedBot for the buy, because one bot covers Solana, Base and BNB Chain.

Where new memecoins launch
Almost every new memecoin starts on a launchpad. Anyone can create a coin there in minutes. The coin trades on a bonding curve first, and when buyers fill the curve, it graduates to an open DEX pool. The launch is the earliest point to buy, and also the riskiest.
Solana: pump.fun
Pump.fun is the main Solana launchpad. Trades on the curve carry a 1.25% total fee, and graduated coins move to PumpSwap, the pump.fun DEX, for a one-time 0.015 SOL fee, per the pump.fun fee page (opens in a new tab). Graduation is rare: The Block reported (opens in a new tab) a rate of 2.5% for one week in July 2026 and 6.7% on one day. The full mechanics are in our pump.fun guide, and the risks in is pump.fun safe.
BNB Chain: four.meme
Four.meme is the main BNB Chain launchpad. Every coin has a 1 billion supply, and the curve fills at about 18 BNB before the coin moves to PancakeSwap, per the four.meme docs (opens in a new tab). Some four.meme coins are Tax Tokens that charge a fee on every trade, so check the tax first. Read our four.meme guide.
Base: Clanker, Zora, Flaunch and more
Base has many launchpads, not one main platform. BasedBot's supported networks page (opens in a new tab) lists Clanker, Zora, Flaunch, Virtuals, Base.Meme, Ape.Store and Creator.Bid among the launchpads it trades. A coin can start on any of them, so a tool that watches several launchpads at once saves time.
How to find new memecoins early
There is no single list of new coins. Use three kinds of sources together: a live feed of launches, trending and new-pair lists, and social or wallet signals.
1. Live launch feeds
These show coins seconds after they launch, before most traders see them. Almost all of these coins fail, so the feed is a place to watch, not a buy list.
- BasedBot web app, Pulse: a live feed (opens in a new tab) of new launches, trending tokens and bonding-curve tokens with a progress indicator.
- BasedBot live channels: Telegram channels (opens in a new tab) post new tokens from Clanker, Flaunch, Virtuals, Creator.Bid, Ape Store, Four.Meme (BSC) and new Uniswap pools, with a fast-buy button.
- The launchpad sites: pump.fun and four.meme show their newest coins on their own pages.
2. Trending and new-pair lists
These show coins that already have volume. You are later, but you have more data.
- DEX Screener: DEX Screener (opens in a new tab) reads its data from the chains it tracks. Use its new-pairs and trending views, and compare liquidity, volume, buys and sells.
- GMGN: the GMGN web terminal has trending and new-pair lists and wallet pages on Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base and Tron. See the GMGN review.
- BasedBot Discover: a token table (opens in a new tab) on all chains, with filters for chain, time period (5m, 1h, 6h, 24h), market cap, volume, liquidity and age.
3. X, Telegram and wallet signals
Many new coins get their first buyers from posts on X and Telegram. Smart wallets (whales and early buyers with a good record) also buy before a coin trends.
- X Tracker: the BasedBot web app tracks tweets (opens in a new tab) from X handles you choose, with an "Only CA" filter that shows only posts with a contract address.
- Wallet tracker: the BasedBot wallet tracker (opens in a new tab) sends Buy, Sell and Token Creation alerts above a minimum USD amount, with a "Trade Now" button.
- Social Search: on a token page, BasedBot shows who talks about the token (opens in a new tab) on X and Farcaster.
A post is a signal, not proof. Paid shills, fake "insider" groups and contract addresses in replies are common traps. Copy the address from the project's own account, never from a reply or a DM.
Track new launches with BasedBot (opens in a new tab)The filter checklist: 5 checks before you buy
Do these checks on every new coin. They take a few minutes and remove most of the obvious scams. One red flag is a reason to look closer. Two is a reason to skip.
- Contract address: copy it from the official X account or website. Compare the first and last characters with the token in your tool. Fake tokens copy the name and the ticker.
- Liquidity: compare the liquidity pool with the market cap. A small pool means a high price impact when you sell. On a bonding curve, check the curve progress instead.
- Holders: look at the top 10 holders. Ignore the pool and the bonding-curve address. If a few wallets hold a large share, or many fresh wallets bought in the first block (bundling), a dump is easy.
- Dev wallet: check how much the dev wallet holds and whether it already sold. A dev that launched many dead coins before is a red flag.
- Honeypot or authority test: on EVM chains (Base, BNB Chain), run Honeypot.is (opens in a new tab) to simulate a buy and a sell and see the tax. On Solana, check on RugCheck (opens in a new tab) or Solscan (opens in a new tab) that mint authority and freeze authority are revoked. A honeypot lets you buy but not sell.
BasedBot shows much of this in one place. The web app token page (opens in a new tab) shows Top 10 Holders %, Dev Holding %, Snipers, Insiders, Bundlers, LP Burned and Holders. The Audit button (opens in a new tab) in the bot asks partner Serialized Labs for a contract analysis (up to 3 minutes) with buy, sell and transfer taxes. The full red-flag list and real cases are in our guide to rug pulls.
How to buy new memecoins with BasedBot
We use BasedBot as the main way to buy new coins, because it detects the chain from the pasted address and trades pump.fun, four.meme and Base launchpad coins from one bot. Locke works with BasedBot; it is scored with the same methodology. The steps below come from the BasedBot docs (opens in a new tab).
- 1
Open the bot from an official link
Use the button on this page or our official links page. The real bot is @based_eth_bot. Fake bots copy the names of real ones, and the BasedBot team never DMs first. - 2
Start the bot and back up the key
Type/startto open the main menu and get a wallet, or import a wallet you control in/wallet. The bot docs have no export step, so log in to the web app with Telegram, open Portfolio and use Export Key (docs (opens in a new tab)). Store the key offline. - 3
Fund the wallet for the chain you trade
Send SOL for pump.fun coins, BNB for four.meme coins or ETH for Base coins. Tap the wallet address to copy it. Start with an amount you can lose in full. - 4
Set your safety defaults
In/settings, set slippage and the price impact limit, turn on MEV protection (ETH, Base and BSC), and set a default take profit and stop loss. Turn on Dev Sell to sell all your tokens when the developer sells. - 5
Paste the contract address and check the coin
The token monitor opens. Tap Audit and Chart, and run the five checks above before you buy. - 6
Buy a small amount, then test a sell
Tap a preset amount or "Buy X". Then sell a small part in/manageto confirm that the coin can be sold. Add to the position only after that.

Buy new memecoins with BasedBot (double cashback) (opens in a new tab)Faster: Quick Buy and sniping
When speed matters more than a manual check, BasedBot has three faster modes. Use them only with small amounts and strict filters.
- Quick Buy: in
/settings, set Quick Buy to Enabled and set the amount, with optional Min Liquidity and Max Liquidity. A pasted or forwarded address then buys at once on its chain (docs (opens in a new tab)). - Custom Sniper: the bot watches all new token creations and buys the ones that match your filters: name or symbol, DEX or launchpad, chain and creator address (docs (opens in a new tab)).
- Migration Sniper: a one-time order that buys a token when it migrates, or sells your holdings at migration (docs (opens in a new tab)).
The docs warn that Turbo mode for sniping removes all safety nets: slippage protection, price impact, gas estimation, simulation and token checks. To compare sniping tools, read our hub of the best sniper bots and the glossary entry on sniping.
Alternatives
- Axiom (4.0): a Solana-first web terminal for pump.fun coins, with fees from 0.95% down to 0.75% by volume tier and seed export. See the Axiom review.
- GMGN (3.5): a good choice if you want discovery data and trading in one web terminal on Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base and Tron. The fee is 1% per trade. The docs prohibit private key export, so keep only trading money there. See the GMGN review.
Scores are from our ranking, where BasedBot leads with 4.6. To compare all ranked tools, read the best memecoin trading platforms.
Fees to expect
| Cost | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| pump.fun curve trade | 1.25% total | pump.fun fees (opens in a new tab) |
| four.meme platform trade | 1%, 0.001 BNB minimum | four.meme docs (opens in a new tab) |
| BasedBot | 1%, 10–50% cashback with code START | BasedBot fees (opens in a new tab), BasedBot review |
| Axiom | 0.95% down to 0.75% | Axiom review |
| GMGN | 1% | GMGN review |
| Network, priority fee and slippage | Varies with the chain and the coin | Check in app |
A bot fee and a launchpad fee can apply to the same trade. On thin new coins, slippage is often the largest cost, so set a slippage limit. The BasedBot cashback terms with code START come from our partner agreement; the BasedBot referral code page has the details.
Mistakes to avoid
- Do not buy from a "new memecoins to buy" list. Lists of live coins are old within hours, and some are paid promotions.
- Do not buy by name or ticker. Buy only by the contract address from an official source.
- Do not skip the sell test. A honeypot looks normal until you try to sell.
- Do not chase a coin that already went up many times. Early buyers and the dev often sell into the late buyers. Learn the patterns in rug pulls.
- Do not trust DMs, "insider" groups or replies with addresses. They are the most common source of fake tokens and drainers.
- Do not put more in than you can lose. Keep only trading money in a bot wallet, and set a stop loss before you buy.
Bottom line
Find new memecoins on the launchpads and live feeds, confirm traction on GMGN or DEX Screener, then run the five checks before every buy. BasedBot is our main tool for the buy, because one bot covers pump.fun, four.meme and Base coins with safety settings such as Dev Sell and stop loss. New to trading?
